Projects include streets, highways, subdivisions, lake restoration, commercial site development including shopping centers, shcools, and parking lots, railroad sidings, traffic signals, bridges - precast and prestressed, culverts - precast and cast-in-place, hydraulic design of bridges and culverts, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, waterlines, retention/detention basins, recreational facilities, parks. Also includes construction observation and supervision for same projects.Completed over 200 road, street, and bridge projects as design engineer, hydraulics engineer, construction (resident) engineer, and project manager using IDOT specification manual, IDOT design manuals, and IDOT construction manuals. Most of these projects required IDOT documentation for daily diaries, IDR's, pay requests, and change orders.
Provided engineering and grant writing services for grant applications with the Department of Commerce and Economic Development (DCEO) for sanitary sewer system trunk line, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) Clean Lakes Program for Raccoon Lake restoration, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for various roadway projects including Economic Development Program, Truck Access Route Program (TARP) and Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP), the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) Program for a new municipal park.
Forensic engineering services include building inspections, accident reconstruction, and dam inspections. Accident reconstruction reports consist of field measurements, review of existing documents, and engineering analysis used to establish or confirm the causal elements leading up to the accident. Building inspections and condition reports consist of field inspection of primarily residential buildings damaged by wind, rain, tornado, or earthquake, and/or lack of maintenance. CADD experience includes complete design of streets, highways, recreational parks, site developments including shopping centers, schools, and parking lots, contouring and earthwork. Data entry includes manual entry, digitizing, and data collector with automatic entry. Projects range from a small two acre site development to ten mile road section with R.O.W. acquisition. Projects include approximately 30 different projects funded by the Capital Development Board (CDB). These projects include surveying, design, construction administration, construction observation, and construction documentation for each project. |
